The NFL season is just around the corner, which means that it’s officially time to share our hot takes.

With that in mind, ESPN analyst Mike Greenberg made sure to stir the pot early on Tuesday.

The renowned personality took to Get Up to share his three-level pyramid featuring the top-six quarterbacks in the league, and it was quite a controversial one.

Jordan Love, CJ Stroud, and Lamar Jackson make up the lower tier of the pyramid, ranking them at No. 6, No. 5, and No. 4, respectively.

Then, he has Josh Allen at No. 3, and — shockingly — Patrick Mahomes at No. 2 on the second level of the pyramid.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, he chose Aaron Rodgers as the undisputed No. 1, stating that he was the man who actually built the pyramid.

Being a New York Jets fan, Greenberg claimed that Rodgers has delivered every single time he’s been questioned this way, adding that he’s going to have the best season for a quarterback in the entire league next year.

Of course, having Rodgers as either the best or one of the best quarterbacks in the league shouldn’t be much of a hot take, but with him missing the entire year last season and being up in age, not many people will agree.

Also, Mahomes has established himself as the alpha dog over the past five years or so.

Rodgers is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest quarterbacks the game has ever seen, so it’s always safe to bet on him.

Whether it’ll pay off or not remains to be seen.
