The controversy around Jaylen Brown and Team USA continues to swirl, days after he wasn’t selected as the replacement for Kawhi Leonard.
Since Brown was passed over for the roster spot, some people have suggested that he wasn’t chosen because of his public comments about Nike.
In fact, Brown himself has said that’s the case.
Now he is getting support from Keyshawn Johnson, who shared the same belief on Tuesday’s “Undisputed.”
He thinks that Brown’s criticisms of Nike have prohibited him from playing for Team USA because the company has pulled strings to prevent it.

Brown pushed back against Nike when they pulled away from Kyrie Irving after he made some offensive social media posts.
Brown has never backed down from his statements and that surely angered the top brass at Nike.
Nike has been deeply involved with Team USA for years now and they are likely able to influence the coaching staff and managers putting the squad together.
Grant Hill is in charge of the American team and swears that the exclusion of Brown was simply about putting the best team together.
But more and more people feel that Nike had a hand in this choice and influenced the team’s decision to choose Derrick White over Brown.
The Olympics are right around the corner and Team USA is eager to get the support of all players and fans back home.
They don’t want to be playing with this controversy still creating nasty headlines and conversations.
Despite his beliefs about Nike, Brown will be rooting for his friends and teammates as they attempt to win the gold medal in Paris.
