The Las Vegas Raiders aren’t particularly a Super Bowl contender right now.

And while they should fare better under HC Antonio Pierce than they did with Josh McDaniels at the helm, their lack of a starting-caliber quarterback continues to be a worrisome issue.

That, plus some clips from Netflix’s show ‘Receiver’ and all the chatter about a potential reunion with Aaron Rodgers has fueled plenty of speculation regarding a potential Davante Adams trade.

With that in mind, his agents, Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer, shared a statement with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, putting an end to all the ‘baseless’ rumors and speculation regarding their client’s future.

Granted, Adams literally said that he needed to get out of there on the show, so it’s not like people made the rumors up.

However, that was before Pierce took the reins of the team, and the former Green Bay Packers star has been nothing but supportive of his new head coach.

Of course, it made perfect sense for Adams to want to be traded.

For starters, he made it to Las Vegas to play with his former teammate and friend, Derek Carr, who’s no longer there.

On the other hand, the Raiders aren’t a contending team, and teams like the New York Jets would give him an opportunity to play for a Super Bowl.

Adams is a competitor, and he likes to be involved in the offense and win games.

If that’s not the case in 2024, perhaps these rumors could flood the internet again.
