There is still a lot of controversy about the selection of Derrick White over Jaylen Brown for Team USA in the upcoming Paris Olympics.
Some people feel that Brown was the obvious choice when Kawhi Leonard stepped away from the team while others believe that White will help more.
Speaking on “Undisputed,” Rachel Nichols spoke about why White was brought onto the team.
She said that Grant Hill believes it’s the little things that make White so special.
Team USA is expecting a lot of tight games with harsh competition and they believe that White will be the difference between a win and a loss.

Even though Team USA is the favorite to win the gold medal in basketball, there is no doubt that they will have to fight a slew of imposing teams.
That means they will have to be playing incredible basketball during every single game.
As great as Brown is, White’s playing style might be better suited for Team USA.
He is seen as more of a role player who is strong on offense and defense.
He is reliable, can adjust during the middle of a game, and can also be clutch.
All of that adds up to the type of star who could do great things for Team USA in the Olympics.
Hill told the press that the choice of White over Brown had nothing to do with any personal grudges or displeasure from Nike.
Instead, he said it was a decision made to enhance the team and give them their best chance of winning.
However, that answer still might not be good enough for some fans.
