The Detroit Lions are coached by one of the toughest guys in sports right now.

Dan Campbell still looks like he could line up and give the team some good snaps, and he’s not the kind of guy you want to mess with.

That’s why it only makes sense that his players look up to his example and even try to one-up him.

That might be the case with second-year DT Brodric Martin.

As shown by Al Karsten on Twitter, the former third-round pick is in peak physical shape right now.

It appears it’s a lighter lower body workout day for Detroit Lions Year 2 backup Nose Tackle Brodric Martin as he prepares for Training Camp.

All the team needs is 15+ good snaps a game filling in for DJ Reader, at times McNeill/Onwuzurike, and short yardage situations. pic.twitter.com/gasVr70Nu2

He went viral for a video of him pulling a 4×8-sized trailer as if he were just carrying some groceries.

He’s clearly gifted with natural strength and athleticism, but it’s more than evident that he’s been hitting the weight room daily as well.

Martin will hope that effort translates into more playing time in 2024.

He was only able to make three appearances as a rookie, spending most of his first year on the inactive list despite being fully healthy.

The No. 96 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft only had three tackles as a rookie, failing to replicate the impact he made during his days in Western Kentucky.

Now, he looks like a man on a mission.

The Lions will begin their training camp on Saturday, July 27.

And while they have more than enough depth to get by just fine at this position, Martin has definitely turned a lot of heads with his work ethic and raw power.
