The Arizona Cardinals are one of those NFL teams that will be hard to predict this season.
They have gone 4-13 each of the last two seasons, but the team finished with a 3-5 record in the final eight games last year after Pro Bowl quarterback Kyler Murray returned from his torn ACL that he suffered in 2022.
Veteran Cardinals tight end Trey McBride recently joined The Adam Schefter Podcast to talk about Murray and how he has been a great leader for the relatively inexperienced roster.
“He’s just been a great leader. It brings excitement to me all the things he’s doing to make this team better. Everything’s kind of going in the right direction. The sky’s the limit for us, for sure,” McBride said.

Again, this Cardinals team does not have a whole lot of winning experience, which is why it is going to be on Kyler Murray to be his Pro Bowl self again.
The words from his teammate in McBride are a great sign of how the players in the locker room view Murray.
If he continues to lead in the way that he has been leading and if he returns to his 2021 self, this Cardinals team might not be an easy out each week.
Murray will be throwing to first-round wide receiver and former Ohio State All-American Marvin Harrison Jr.
He also has veteran running back James Conner to lean on out of the backfield.
If the former Offensive Rookie of the Year in Murray stays healthy and continues to handle himself in his way, look out for that team in the desert.
