The New York Jets are looking to win a Super Bowl right now.

The Las Vegas Raiders, on the other hand, would be thrilled just to compete.

That makes it an easy situation for a player like Davante Adams, at least from a football perspective.

That, plus his relationship with Aaron Rodgers, is why it’s not much of a surprise to see people talking about a potential reunion.

Netflix’s show ‘Receiver’ shows how frustrated Adams was early in the season in Las Vegas, and he literally said that he needed to get out of there.

However, his agents released a statement calling all the rumors ‘baseless and unfounded’.

With that in mind, former NFL star Plaxico Burress claimed that there was no way Antonio Pierce would allow the Raiders to trade Adams.

“There’s no way that Antonio Pierce lets Davante Adams out the door.”

Adams has been nothing but supportive of Pierce, and his whole demeanor and attitude toward the team changed as soon as he took the reins of the team.

Jets players — including Rodgers — have also actively recruited him.

Adams reportedly wanted to join the Raiders to play with Derek Carr, and Carr is no longer with the team.

So, if the Raiders fail to improve this season, which is a likely scenario, don’t be shocked if these rumors start showing up again.
