The Kansas City Chiefs are striving to do something that has never been done before.
Never has a team won three consecutive Super Bowls.
That speaks volumes about how competitive the league has become throughout the course of the years and how difficult it is to win.
Not even Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots could pull it off.
Notably, that’s why Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo doesn’t think the Chiefs will be able to do it.
Talking on ESPN’s First Take, the controversial pundit pointed out the fact that the Chiefs were pretty close to losing many games in the playoffs last season.

He remembered the missed field goal in the game vs. the Buffalo Bills and how the Bills had multiple chances to beat them.
Then, he talked about Zay Flowers fumbling in the AFC championship game, followed by Brock Purdy’s miss on 3rd-and-5 in the Super Bowl.
As great as the Chiefs are, Russo believes that any team that puts itself in that kind of position will eventually lose one of those big games.
That makes perfect sense, and the Chiefs didn’t do themselves many favors multiple times last season.
At the end of the day, however, they wound up winning.
It won’t be easy, and there would be no shame in falling short of that goal this season.
But if someone can do it, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs.
