Collin Sexton had a bit of a resurgence last season with the Utah Jazz after a couple of injury-plagued years that saw his scoring decrease to a career-low 14.3 points per game as a bench player for the first time in 2022-23.

However, he bounced back nicely to the tune of 18.7 points per game on 48.7 percent shooting this past season.

It was a nice comeback for the No., 8 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and he recently discussed what he believes to be the best draft class of all time, though he may be a little biased.

Sexton spoke with Treasure Wilson on “It Is What It Is” and said that his 2018 class is the best ever, as it features notable superstars and other players such as Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, Deandre Ayton, Michael Porter Jr., Miles Bridges, Jaren Jackson Jr., Grayson Allen, Donte DiVincenzo, Anfernee Simons, Bruce Brown, Kevin Huerter, and of course, Sexton himself.

The 2018 draft class is shaping up to be in the conversation for the best ever when you look at the hit rate of the lottery picks as well as the depth provided by later picks like Brunson, DiVincenzo and Brown.

It’ll take some time to make this a real discussion as this class was only six years ago, and the bar still starts with the 1984 NBA Draft class that featured Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, John Stockton, Otis Thorpe, Sam Perkins and Kevin Willis.

The 1996 NBA Draft likely still has 2018 beat, as that class gave us Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Peja Stojakovic, Marcus Camby, Stephon Marbury, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Jermaine O’Neal, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Derek Fisher.
