During Steve Kerr’s tenure, the Golden State Warriors haven’t been particularly great to rookies and young players.

Like most championship-caliber teams, they’ve focused mostly on players who can contribute right away, meaning that they cannot afford to develop young players.

However, last offseason, they found a guy who could both have a bright future and contribute on the floor right off the jump.

Brandin Podziemski took the league by storm and while his numbers weren’t eye-popping all the time, he played like a savvy veteran and did a little bit of everything for the Dubs.

Podziemski looks poised for an even bigger season in 2024, as he’s dominated in the NBA Summer League and should be a perennial starter for the team.

With that in mind, Warriors owner Joe Lacob went out of his way to shower him with praise.

Talking to Warriors on NBC Sports, Lacob stated that Podziemski had been ‘a revelation’ for him, adding that he’s shown that he can do a little bit of everything at a high level.

“We think we have a future All-Star,” Lacob said.

Podziemki’s hard work and versatility make Lacob and the Warriors think that they might have a future All-Star on their hands, and while that could sound like a bit of a stretch, it’s not that far-fetched to think.

The young guard can play on and off the ball, score from three levels, grab rebounds, pile up steals, and is a more athletic player than one could tell at first glance.

And with expanded opportunities with Klay Thompson — and most likely Andrew Wiggins — gone, he could be in for a breakout season.
