Davante Adams has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL throughout his career.
He turned into a superstar during his time with the Green Bay Packers, and even though his quarterback situation has been suboptimal with the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams has still made the most out of it.
While Adams has continued this spectacular play for years, the league is changing around him.
Other elite pass-catchers and wide receivers are entering the fold, making for a competition when it comes to the best players in the NFL.
Adams recently appeared on “Club Shay Shay” with Shannon Sharpe, who asked him about the five best receivers in the league.
After asking a clarification question about if he could be on the list, Adams responded, “If you’re saying the best, it’s 17, you’re probably gonna go 18 after that,” but then paused to make a disclaimer.
“Over the last six years, there’s only been one person that people can’t take out of the top three, and that’s me… They want to crown a new king every year, and the reality, is they haven’t been able to do that for a real long time,” Adams said.
He did round out the top five after he and Justin Jefferson, eventually naming Tyreek Hill, CeeDee Lamb, and Ja’Marr Chase.

Adams is not only a dynamic player on the field, but he is extremely confident in himself and his ability to perform.
Can he continue this dominance in the 2024 season, remaining as one of the top five players in the league, at least in his eyes?
