One of the more interesting contract disputes in the NFL is happening right now in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

After an outstanding first full year as the team’s starter, Jordan Love is looking to cash in.

As he awaits his extension, analysts are firing off takes left and right about how much money the Packers will give Love.

One of those analysts is former Super Bowl-winning receiver Plaxico Burress.

“The Green Bay Packers are going to make this man the highest-paid quarterback in football,” Burress recently said on The Carton Show.

The highest-paid quarterbacks in the league right now are Bengals Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow and Jaguars Pro Bowl quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Both are making an average of $55 million per year.

With Love’s outstanding end to the 2023 season, there is a chance that he could make north of that very soon.

Love threw for the second-most touchdowns in the NFL last season (32) and threw just one interception through the final eight weeks of the regular season.

The Packers made the playoffs and went to Dallas and put up 48 points on the 12-win Cowboys.

He had Packers fans thinking Super Bowl in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round.

Despite it being just one season, Love clearly took advantage of his opportunity to sit and learn behind the great Aaron Rodgers for three years.

Now, he has Packers fans excited for another possible championship-contending season.

As the season inches closer, look for extension conversations between the Packers and Love’s representatives to ramp up here.
