For years, Derek Carr has been a bit of a controversial figure in the National Football League.
Some claimed that he was much better than what was shown with the Las Vegas Raiders, as he was rarely put in a position to succeed.
He orchestrated several comebacks and was solid in the clutch, and he was clearly respected in the locker room.
Then again, he also fell short multiple times, and some questionable mistakes in key moments made people question him.
Carr eventually took his talents to the New Orleans Saints, but he recently revealed that he could’ve joined the New York Jets instead.
Notably, that would’ve prevented Aaron Rodgers from going there, so the league could look quite different right now.
Talking about that, NFL analyst Craig Carton fired a bit of a hot take about him.

In the latest edition of The Carton Show, he argued that Carr might be a top-10 quarterback in the league right now, adding that he would rather have him over Dak Prescott.
Truth be told, being a top-10 quarterback might be a bit of a stretch, as there are way too many talented quarterbacks right now.
It would be tough to put him ahead of, say, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, CJ Stroud, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Matthew Stafford, and even Jared Goff.
As for the Prescott take, to each his own, and while Dak has posted better numbers in his career, he’s also fallen short when it matters the most.
