The Dallas Cowboys have won 12 games in each of the last three regular seasons.
They have a good roster in place moving forward, especially if the front office can figure out the current contract situations of key players such as All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and All-Pro edge-rusher Micah Parsons.
Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott is looking for an extension as well, but he is already under contract for this upcoming season just like Lamb and Parsons.
Despite the team having a solid roster, Fox Sports’s Skip Bayless doesn’t see them having a good season.
“I concluded 8-9, and I thought I was being generous and optimistic at 8-9 given what we did not do in the offseason,” Bayless recently said on Undisputed.

Bayless, a known Cowboys fan, believes the team got worse this offseason.
The team did lose a couple of key contributors in Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard, who signed with the Titans as a free agent, former Pro Bowl linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, who retired due to a neck injury, and legendary left tackle Tyron Smith, who signed with the Jets as a free agent.
Those positions could be a little weak at the start of the season, but the team still has plenty of star-studded players onboard.
With Prescott, Lamb, Parsons, All-Pro guard Zack Martin, All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs and a host of other significant pieces, this team can be a lot better than people think.
In a division with two rebuilding teams in the Giants and Commanders, the Cowboys have the opportunity to be good again, at least in the regular season, in 2024.
