The Los Angeles Clippers seem to always be on the verge of greatness but consistently come up short.
But their chances of being postseason favorites may have slipped away entirely because they recently lost Paul George, who signed a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer was quite honest about his feelings regarding George’s departure.
According to Yahoo Sports, Ballmer put it plainly: “I hated it.”

There are plenty of reasons why Ballmer is so disappointed to see George leave.
For starters, he scored 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game last season.
He was clearly one of the most important parts of the team and improved their offense.
But beyond that, losing George was like closing the book on an important Clippers chapter.
When he was signed to the team back in 2019-20, Ballmer envisioned a great new era for his team that could hold multiple championships.
Instead, this period was filled with a lot of unfortunate injuries, harsh postseasons, and tough competition.
The Clippers never developed into the team Ballmer and fans wanted and losing George is further confirmation of that.
George will definitely be missed in Los Angeles and there are many fears that the team is about to slide into a serious slump.
The Western Conference is getting better and the Clippers have lost one of their best players so the future is very uncertain.
Ballmer and all Clippers fans are dealing with the loss of George and there are a lot of negative feelings floating around.
But those feelings could be even worse in the new season if the Clippers fall apart because of George’s absence.
