A lot has been said and written about the 2024 Chicago Bears, and rightfully so.
The Bears have a potential generational player at the quarterback position in Caleb Williams, and they made sure to pair him with another promising young player like WR Rome Odunze.
Adding proven veterans like Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift to the mix could also do wonders for a team that had already closed out last season on a high note defensively.
Nonetheless, as much as the potential is most definitely there, star CB Jaylon Johnson knows it’s all about what they actually do when they take the field.
Talking to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Johnson stated that while everybody has a right to feel excited about their potential and whatnot, he’s not going to get too carried away with all the talk because he wants to actually prove it on the field:
“It’s about action at this point, so the projections, the energy, the enthusiasm all feels good in the beginning because everybody, every team, every fan [says], ‘Oh this is our year, this is our year,’ so I’m not on that type of time as far as, ‘Oh yeah, this is our year,’” Johnson said.
Chicago CB Jaylon Johnson is tired of hearing about the Bears’ potential. “It’s about action,” Johnson said.

The Bears should be in the mix for a postseason berth next season, but it’s not going to be easy.
For starters, the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers could both be legitimate Super Bowl-caliber teams, and it’s not going to be easy to stand out in that competitive division.
On top of that, as talented as both Williams and Odunze are, they’re both rookies at the end of the day, so they will most likely go through some growing pains like most young players do.
But even if they’re not ready to make a big splash next season, it’s still an exciting time to be a Bears fan.
