The Phoenix Suns may have been really concerned about Kevin Durant’s health status with Team USA.
The former MVP reportedly suffered a calf injury, and while it wasn’t considered to be serious, he was still held out as a precaution.
That’s why the fans can finally breathe in relief, as the NBA shared a clip of Durant going at it and pulling up without any limitations during Team USA’s practice.

Notably, Durant has struggled to stay healthy since he suffered that major injury with the Golden State Warriors.
He’s missed plenty of time, and he’s not particularly getting any younger.
Also, calf injuries have often led to Achilles injuries, and Durant has already gone through that.
He’s obviously one of the greatest players this game has ever seen, but he has plenty of miles under his belt already, and not many players would be able to overcome another major injury at this point in his career.
Durant has expressed a desire to play until the wheels fall off, but he still must be careful with the way he approaches his preparation.
Truth be told, as much of a legend as he is, Team USA just doesn’t need him to play heavy minutes to find success in the Olympics.
The Suns must make sure that Steve Kerr doesn’t play him heavy minutes and keeps him fresh for the start of the season.
Otherwise, it will be very difficult to envision them being them a championship-caliber team next season, not even with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal also there.
