Not so long ago, the NFL had a somewhat odd narrative about Lamar Jackson.
His contract stand-off with the Baltimore Ravens had some teams actively stating that they had no interest in trading for him.
That was the first time that teams went on the record to talk about not being interested in one player, and it led some players, fans, and analysts to believe that teams may have been in collaboration to drive the quarterback market down.
Fast forward to today, and Jackson has another MVP award under his belt, and he’s clearly one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
That’s why star TE Mark Andrews went out of his way to give him his flowers (via Jamison Hensley).
Mark Andrews on Lamar Jackson: “He’s the most special player in the world. There’s no one else like him. He’s the best quarterback in the NFL and he continues to show why he’s labeled that. He’s got a heavy burden on his shoulders, but he comes to work every day (and) has fun.” pic.twitter.com/jAnYDtB3BA

Andrews called Jackson ‘the best quarterback in the NFL,’ and he praised him for showing up to work and delivering every single day.
He also believes that he’s the most special football player in the world because nobody else plays like him.
To each his own, and while being the best might be a bit of a stretch, it would be tough to deny that he’s a top-five quarterback at the very worst.
Also, he’s the best scrambler in the game, and no one is as skilled as him when it comes to extending plays and doing damage with his feet.
Jackson is perhaps the best running quarterback the game has ever seen, and while he still has to get over the hump and win the whole thing, he’s still young and will continue to improve.
