The New England Patriots have fully embraced their rebuild as they’ve got a new coach and several rookies that will need to develop over the course of the 2024 NFL season.

Head coach Jerod Mayo takes over for long-time stalwart Bill Belichick on the sidelines, while Drake Maye will look to prove himself as the franchise’s next quarterback.

Mayo and Maye represent the new era of Patriots football and it’s an exciting time as the organization has been mired in a rut for years.

New England and its fans are used to competing for Super Bowls, but now will need to take the patient approach as it looks to re-establish itself.

With the AFC East looking competitive amongst the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills, it’s a good time for the Patriots to see what they have with their new pieces.

Aside from the coaching staff and players, it sounds like a possible change could be coming to their uniforms via Mike Reiss of ESPN.

“The Patriots have had internal discussions about possibly wearing silver pants (instead of the standard blue) for a game(s), which would give its game-day uniform a different look. But there is no confirmation at this time when/if it will happen,” Reiss said.
The white top and blue pants look has been a staple for New England, so switching to silver would be quite the shift in color scheme though perhaps it could work if done correctly.
It would certainly be representative of all the changes that have gone on in the franchise over the past year.
