The Houston Texans signaled to the rest of the NFL that they are going all-in on a Super Bowl title after making some impactful moves this past offseason.

With C.J. Stroud looking like a superstar in the making, the Texans had no problem investing resources into surrounding him with more veteran talent on the offensive end.

Not only did Houston trade for veteran running back Joe Mixon, but they also went out and traded for Stefon Diggs after his shaky ending with the Buffalo Bills.

Mixon and Diggs provide much-needed playoff experience and veteran savvy to a young Texans roster and they look poised to run the AFC South for the foreseeable future.

Most of the core pieces already seem to be set, but it appears that Houston is potentially looking to add more depth as they are reportedly working out former Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2.

Akers last played for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2023 NFL season after he was traded by Los Angeles.

Akers is a former second-round pick, but his reported attitude issues and injury history make him a long-shot to snag a role in the NFL again.

Still, it appears that the Texans might be interested in Akers because when he was healthy he was a useful player who could run and catch the football.
