Shaquille O’Neal has lived a crazy life and is still one of the most famous people on the planet, years after retiring from the NBA.
He has plenty of outlandish stories from his years in the limelight, including one he recently shared on Playmaker Hoops.
O’Neal spoke about the time when he was driving in his convertible and got spotted by a fan in a car next to him.
The fan was so starstruck by O’Neal that they didn’t notice the garbage truck in front of them and drove right into it.
Weeks later, O’Neal was served with legal papers because he had been sued by that fan.

The fan claimed that seeing O’Neal was so distracting and shocking that it caused the car accident.
It might sound like an absurd situation but it’s one that O’Neal was used to because of his high level of fame.
He stated that his legal team easily took care of the problem and it didn’t become a big deal that bothered him for long.
But it’s proof of just how massive his fame was during his prime.
After being drafted as the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft, O’Neal became a household name and one of the most exciting athletes in the world.
In the years that followed, he not only won four championships but also became a spokesperson and media figure who is still very active today.
From his personality to his on-court success to his larger-than-life size, O’Neal is definitely a celebrity who will turn heads.
But does that mean he’s responsible for other peoples’ fender benders?
