As Baltimore Ravens training camp gets underway, the team must start without superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is reportedly dealing with an illness that has kept him off the field.
Obviously, whenever a superstar quarterback of Jackson’s caliber isn’t on the field for any reason, it is cause for concern, as there’s always a worry that it could be a long-term problem.
So far, the Ravens have been playing down his absence as they are simply calling it an illness that he is currently battling, which sounds like something that he can quickly bounce back from.
With Jackson not seen at camp for the Ravens today, head coach John Harbaugh gave an update of sorts on what is going on with the reigning NFL MVP via the Ravens’ Twitter account.
“I really, I couldn’t really say. He’s still sick. He couldn’t make it today,” Harbaugh said.

Hopefully, for Jackson and the Ravens, the two-time NFL MVP can get back on the gridiron sooner rather than later, as Baltimore is primed to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender during the 2024 campaign, especially with the addition of superstar running back Derrick Henry in the backfield.
If Jackson can get back healthy and ready to go for Week 1, when they’ll go on the road to face the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the Ravens will be a force to be reckoned with again in the AFC and perhaps the biggest threat to the defending champions.
