At 40 years of age, New York Jets starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers knows that retirement questions are always going to be asked.

However, the four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion doesn’t know when that will come as he recently said on Pardon My Take.

“I’m not sure…I wanted to do two good ones…To give us a chance to retire a Jet and win two Super Bowls,” Rodgers stated.

Rodgers was unable to win a Super Bowl last season in his first year with the Jets because he tore his Achilles just four snaps in.

But, that has not stopped his enthusiasm and excitement for 2024.

Even though he has accomplished everything that young quarterbacks dream about growing up, he is still searching for more hardware.

With the current roster in place for the Jets, a Super Bowl might be possible this year.

Rodgers will be throwing to two 1,000-yard wide receivers in Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams.

Additionally, his running back behind him in Breece Hall recorded over 1,500 scrimmage yards last season without him on the field.

Defensively, led by cornerback Sauce Gardner and linebacker C.J. Mosley, there are either Pro Bowl or All-Pro studs at almost every level of the defense.

On paper, Rodgers has a great cast of players around him to try and help him achieve greatness this year.

Now, what happens if the Jets were to win the Super Bowl this season?

Would Rodgers ride off into the sunset on that, or would he decide to keep playing?

Time will tell.
