A lot of eyes are going to be focused on Anthony Richardson at training camp as he opens up his second NFL season in Indianapolis with the Colts.

The former Florida Gator only played four games as a rookie before being lost for the season due to a shoulder injury.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently joined The Pat McAfee Show to give an update on Richardson’s status ahead of training camp.

“He’s going to be out there…(the Colts) obviously have huge expectations for him this upcoming season. He’s got to stay healthy,” Schefter said.

Schefter noted how important it is that the former first-round pick stays healthy in his sophomore season with Indy.

As a rookie, he recorded seven total touchdowns and just one interception in the four games that he played.

He has a lot of potential, and the roster around him is fairly solid given what they did last season without him.

The team finished with a winning record and came to within a dropped pass of possibly winning the AFC South with a backup in Gardner Minshew as their starter in place of Richardson.

If Richardson can be smart with his body and not put himself in any compromising situations, the sky can be the limit for him and an offense that includes 1,000-yard wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor.

This training camp for the Colts could very well be the most fascinating training camp in a long time because of the capabilities and the health of their quarterback.
