The Seattle Seahawks are heading into an NFL season that will be filled with uncertainty, with longtime head coach Pete Carroll stepping down and the team competing in one of the toughest divisions in the league in the NFC West.
It’s possible that the three other teams in the NFC West division might be better during the 2024 NFL season, with the Arizona Cardinals vastly improved with a healthy Kyler Murray and the addition of rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., while the Los Angeles Rams will look to take another step forward despite the loss of superstar Aaron Donald to retirement.
Then there are the San Francisco 49ers, who are considered to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender and will want to avenge their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the big game back in February.
Despite the stiff competition within the division and in the conference, for that matter, the Seahawks have the potential to be a high-powered offense if they can get another Pro Bowl season out of Geno Smith while making use of one of the most talented receiving corps in the league.
Obviously, Smith can’t be successful without solid protection upfront, and according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Seahawks are looking to add depth on the offensive line as they are hosting Connor Williams for a visit on Tuesday.
Former Dolphins and Cowboys free-agent center Connor Williams, who has started 77 NFL games, is scheduled to visit Tuesday with the Seahawks.

Obviously, Williams is not a game-changer for the Seahawks if they sign him this week, but this does indicate a desire to upgrade the offensive line in terms of depth.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Seahawks can do this season and whether they can surprise people once again, as they did during the 2022 campaign.
