The Olympics are about to start and there are legitimate concerns about Team USA, their chemistry, and chances of winning a gold medal.
After two very close exhibition games, fans are wondering if head coach Steve Kerr will make changes before the games kick off in Paris.
Paul Pierce has a suggestion: Kerr should start Bam Adebayo over Joel Embiid.
Speaking with Colin Cowherd, Piece said that Olympic basketball “doesn’t fit” Embiid and that he is a player who requires the ball.
He said Adebayo is more versatile and works with the sort of team play that the Americans need to secure a gold medal.
There is no indication that Kerr will make any modifications to the starting lineup but the chorus of people crying for some adjustments is growing.

Embiid has had some difficulty fitting into the rotations of Team USA.
Pierce said this is partly because Olympic basketball feels smaller, with tinier courts and altered perimeters.
At times, Embiid has looked out of place and his chemistry with other players on the court hasn’t been strong.
Does that mean Kerr is going to shake things up and swap out Embiid for Adebayo?
He is likely contemplating that change, among others.
Embiid isn’t the only issue Team USA has.
Their defense has been troublesome and their shooting has been hit-or-miss.
They are still the favorites to win it all but haven’t looked nearly as dominant as people expected, at least not yet.
So, perhaps Kerr does decide to start Adebayo over Embiid, but that might not be the only change he makes.
