With NFL training camps getting underway this week and the start of the 2024 campaign being right around the corner, speculation has started to run rampant again about the upcoming season and which head coaches in the league might be on the hot seat right out of the gate.
As usual, there are some pretty prominent names on his list of head coaches potentially on the hot seat starting Week 1 from teams that will have high expectations going into the 2024 campaign, like Robert Saleh, Mike McCarthy and Nick Sirianni.
It is no surprise that two of these coaches are in the NFC East, as there is always a lot of pressure on the four teams in the division to produce results and produce them quickly and consistently.
After flaming out in the first round of the NFL playoffs in epic fashion last year, McCarthy and Sirianni were two coaches many believed would be fired during the offseason, as it seemed like changes needed to be made for the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.
However, that didn’t turn out to be the case, with both head coaches getting retained, but that doesn’t mean the pressure is off in 2024, even though Saleh, head coach of the New York Jets, is the favorite to get fired first, according to The Gresh & Fauria Show.
The odds are out! Who will be the first head coach FIRED this season?
Robert Saleh (+500)
Mike McCarthy (+600)
Matt Eberflus (+700)
Dennis Allen (+700)
Nick Sirianni (+800)

After things fell apart for the Jets in Week 1 last season following the season-ending Achilles injury suffered by Aaron Rodgers, the pressure was off Saleh slightly, as a lot depended on the superstar quarterback being under center in 2023.
However, with Rodgers getting back on the field and the Jets making some roster upgrades, Saleh will be under pressure to produce results, which will be no easy task.
