The Philadelphia Eagles are in a prime position to dominate their division right now.
They have — by far — the best roster in the NFC East, and while there are some major doubts about Nick Sirianni after last season, they should still be the team to beat there in 2024.
At least, that’s how Craig Carton feels.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, the controversial pundit stated that the Eagles were the absolute best team in the NFC East, and it shouldn’t even be up for debate.

He claimed that while the New York Giants should be better defensively next season, they would have a tough time scoring points.
The Washington Commanders, on the other hand, have a promising quarterback in Jayden Daniels, and he might be good sooner than expected, but he’s still a rookie.
As for the Dallas Cowboys, they’re in a complicated situation ahead of training camp, and they’re by no means a better team than they were last season.
Of course, plenty of the Eagles’ success will also hinge on whether Jalen Hurts will be as good as he was two years ago or if that was just a fluke during a contract year, and Sirianni will also have to prove himself again after last year’s fiasco.
But from a talent perspective at the very least, the Eagles should find little-to-no trouble dominating their division and clinching a top-two seed in the NFC, with the San Francisco 49ers as their toughest competitors at this moment.
