The Paris Olympics kick off this weekend and Team USA will attempt to win its first game of the tournament when they play against Serbia.

Right now, the Americans are 12.5-point favorites to beat Serbia but Skip Bayless thinks the betting line is far too generous.

Speaking on “Undisputed,” Bayless said that Serbia is “serious business” and warned that the Americans might have it much tougher than they expect.

Team USA is now a 12.5-point favorite over Serbia, but @RealSkipBayless isn’t calling this a cakewalk:

Bayless admitted that Team USA is still the odds-on favorite to win the gold medal at the Olympics, but he also said that it could be a very tough road.

The team is filled with some massive talent and several of the biggest names in the NBA, but they can’t all play at the same time, Bayless reminded.

Head coach Steve Kerr has the very tough job of deciding who needs to play and when.

If he makes a wrong call or a player has an off-night, the team could be doomed.

Bayless said that other teams across the world are no longer afraid of the squad coming out of America.

They respect them, of course, but they don’t fear them.

Over the last few weeks, Team USA has played a few exhibition games as they have warmed up for the Olympics.

They won all of those games but they also had some close margins of victory at times.

This proves that even though Team USA is powerful and dominant, they have their weak points and it’s not impossible to take them down.

They are the heavy favorites to start the Olympics with a win.

They are hoping to set the tone with this first game and remind all other teams how powerful they are.
