Last season wasn’t great for the Washington Wizards but they haven’t committed to changes this summer, meaning they will likely have the same squad next year.
One of their power forwards will definitely be returning.
According to Tim Bontemps, Anthony Gill is re-signing with the Wizards.
The 31-year-old star averaged 3.8 points during his 50 games in Washington last year.
He has a career average of 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds and has only played with the Wizards for his four-year tenure in the NBA.

Some European teams had shown interest in Gill but he decided to stay in the NBA and wants to remain in Washington.
The specifics of this contract aren’t known and it’s not clear how big a part he will have on the court in the upcoming season.
Gill only played for an average of 9.3 minutes in 2023-24 and only started in 3 games.
He has brought leadership and depth to his team, even if he isn’t playing all that often.
Gill may get more opportunities in the upcoming season because the Wizards could be trying to change their approach.
They ended 2023-24 as the second-worst team in the Eastern Conference and were dangerously close to being at the bottom of the standings.
Things aren’t expected to be much better next year unless some modifications are made.
Fans aren’t sure what those changes will look like and there are rumors about multiple players, most notably Kyle Kuzma.
But Gill is remaining in Washington and will possibly get more time to show what he is capable of.
Can the Wizards earn a better track record with a very similar lineup?
