Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy was one of the best players at his position in the league for a long time.

Most notably, he spent six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (2009-2014) where he became one of the league’s best overall players.

The six-time Pro-Bowler ended up moving on to play for the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he won two Super Bowls with the latter two squads.

However, in a recent appearance on Up & Adams, McCoy stated that he would trade his two Super Bowl rings if it meant that he could go back and finish his career as an Eagle.

“We might’ve got two or three in Philly (if I stayed),” McCoy stated.

2x SB Champ LeSean McCoy says he’d trade his TWO SB RINGS to have stayed an EAGLE his whole career…

A member of the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team, McCoy rushed for over 1,000 yards four times in his six years with Philadelphia.

He also put up 1,100+ scrimmage yards in five of his six years there.

The Eagles made the playoffs three times in McCoy’s time in the organization, but they never made it beyond the first round of the playoffs.

If he had been able to stay, perhaps he could have helped former quarterbacks Carson Wentz or Nick Foles lead the Eagles to multiple Super Bowls.

He did go on to record multiple 1,100-yard seasons with Buffalo in 2016 and 2017 as well.

But, it is clear that he still has a soft spot for the city of Philadelphia, and it has to be remembered that he did not play in either of his Super Bowl victories with the Chiefs and Buccaneers which may also play a part in his reasoning.

Ring or no ring, the former second-round pick had a tremendous career as an Eagle and in the league as a whole.
