Former Player Believes 1 QB Is Going To Have A Great Year

It’s easy to talk yourself into most of the quarterbacks in the NFL, as the talent pool arguably has never been deeper after a rookie class that brought in six new QBs in the top 12 picks in the draft.

One player-turned-analyst believes that one specific quarterback is primed for a big year to prove that last season wasn’t a fluke.

Former Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Dolphins receiver Greg Jennings appeared on The Carton Show recently and said “Jordan Love is going to have a year” for the Packers and noted that he believes it’s just a matter of time before a contract extension gets done.

Love was exceptional in his first season as a starter and threw 32 touchdowns to just 11 interceptions while completing 64.2 percent of his passes for 4,159 yards.

He got better as the season went along, throwing 18 touchdowns to just one interception over his final eight games before leading a massive upset over the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs.

Love hasn’t been suiting up at training camp yet as general manager Brian Gutekunst has said he is looking to keep Love out of the picture until a contract gets sorted out.

Recent reports indicate that a deal is close, and given that it seems all parties are on the same page, it’s no surprise a deal could be right around the corner.

The Packers need to get this done to get Love back on the field so he can take the next steps in his development as a starter.
