The Green Bay Packers appear to be a major threat to compete for a Super Bowl during the 2024 season after a successful run in the 2024 NFL Playoffs.
The Packers nearly made it to the NFC Championship Game before just falling short to the San Francisco 49ers, but it speaks to how far they’ve come in such a short period of time.
Leading the charge is Jordan Love who broke out in his first year as the full-time starter for Green Bay after they traded longtime stalwart Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.
Love, a former first-round pick, got to develop behind the scenes but took full advantage of his opportunity and proved he is worthy enough to lead the Packers going forward.
Green Bay went into training camp trying to negotiate a long-term extension with Love and his camp and the two sides were able to agree on a four-year, $220 million deal that will tie Love for highest-paid player in the NFL.
After signing the historic deal, Love spoke about his new contract and what it means to him via Ryan Wood of USA Today.
“To start this off, first and foremost I’m truly blessed and grateful and humbled to be put in this position,” Love said. “It’s taken a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifices not only for me, but for so many people around me.”

Love seems to understand the gravity of the situation and did well to address reporters after signing his deal.
Now without a new contract to worry about, Love can go back to focusing on football and leading the Packers back to the playoffs.
