The Phoenix Suns may have been bounced out of the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, but the franchise is still plenty invested in the 2024 Olympics as they’ve got Devin Booker and Kevin Durant representing the red, white and blue.
Team USA was excellent in their five-game exhibition slate as they swept the games, and went into France with momentum.
Their first game in pool play came against Serbia led by reigning MVP Nikola Jokic and Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic.
While Serbia jumped out to a quick lead, the Americans were able to rally and ended up blowing them out 110-84 to win their first game of the tournament.
LeBron James continued his tear in international play with 21 points, but it was Durant who stole the show in his first game back with 23 points off the bench.
Durant was incredibly efficient with his looks and had the basketball world talking after the win via NBA Central.

Durant wasn’t able to play in the exhibition games due to a calf injury, but as soon as he stepped on the floor it was clear he wasn’t limited.
The superstar sharpshooter was able to get any shot he wanted against Serbia as they had no chance at contesting his jumper.
The degree of difficulty on some of the shots was incredibly high, but Durant made it look easy.
With this version of Durant healthy and available, Team USA looks even more like the overwhelming favorite to take home the gold in the Olympics.
