The Dallas Cowboys kicked off training camp last week, marking the first significant step toward the upcoming 2024 NFL season.
Dallas largely stood pat in free agency, opting to address any roster needs through the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Cowboys also failed to extend Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, though they still have time to do so before the start of the regular season.
Dallas has quality pieces on both ends of the field to make another playoff run, though the rest of the NFC improved these past months which makes it a much tougher task.
Defensively, the Cowboys have Micah Parsons leading the defensive line while Trevon Diggs is scheduled to be back and fully healthy.
Unfortunately, it seems that defensive end Sam Williams went down to an injury during training camp practice and required a cart to pick him up via Nick Harris of DallasCowboys.com.
“Uh oh. Sam Williams is down and needs the cart to come off the field. Described as “not good” from someone who saw the injury live,” Harris reported.

In the short clip, Williams is seen down on the ground around a group of trainers while the cart waits to take him away.
Any time the cart is brought out normally indicates a more serious injury, though at this time it’s not clear what exactly happened.
Losing someone like Williams this early into training camp doesn’t feel like a good sign for the Cowboys’ defense though for now the best course of action is to hope that the injury isn’t serious.
