Heading into the 2023 NFL season, all the talk surrounding the Houston Texans was what the future would hold for the team full of young and unproven players, with rookies CJ Stroud and Will Anderson Jr. leading the way.
Fortunately for Houston, the Texans were able to defy the odds with a rookie starting quarterback and a new head coach, DeMeco Ryans, to dominate the competition and win the AFC South division with an impressive record of 10-7.
Although Stroud got a lot of credit for the team’s success, and rightfully so, the Texans saw another star on offense emerge during the 2023 NFL season, with fellow rookie Tank Dell becoming the quarterback’s favorite target in the passing game.
Even though Dell only played 11 games before being shut down for the season with an injury, the rookie wide receiver made a big impression in Houston and became a fan favorite, with one fan going as far as to tattoo the wideout’s autograph on his leg via the Texans’ Twitter account.

Getting a star player to sign a body part is a choice, but to get that signature tattooed after getting the autograph is another level of fandom entirely.
Strangely enough, this isn’t uncommon as it has become an ongoing trend for diehard fans, which has to be a bit weird for the players who put their autographs on said fans.
Regardless of the weird choice by this diehard Texans fan, Dell definitely seems like the real deal and could take his game to another level during the upcoming 2024 NFL season with Houston expected to take another step forward.
