San Antonio Spurs fans are very excited about next season, mostly because it’ll be another chance for Victor Wembanyama to shine brightly and give hope for the future of the franchise.
But the team could be adding more talent and size to the roster.
According to Michael Scotto, the Spurs have agreed to a training camp deal with center Nathan Mensah, who previously played for the Charlotte Hornets last season and appeared in 25 games.
During his time in Charlotte, Mensah averaged 1.3 points and 2.6 rebounds on a 42.9% field goal percentage.

Mensah only played for an average of 12.3 minutes per game during 2023-24, but would he get a lot more time with the Spurs?
A training camp deal doesn’t ensure that Mensah will play next season but if he can impress in the weeks ahead, he might find himself with another two-way contract.
That could lead the way to him playing for both the Spurs and their G League affiliate.
Wembanyama is obviously the biggest star for the Spurs and he garners the most attention.
But the team will only have a real shot at returning to the postseason if he gets more help.
The front office has been committing some moves, including adding Chris Paul to the roster.
This will put Wembanyama and the rest of his team in a better position.
If Mensah does well at training camp and earns a contract with San Antonio, he could give Wembanyama solid support and the ability to rest more.
