The Cleveland Browns have been nothing but patient and supportive of Deshaun Watson, but that might change very soon.

They gave up a lot to get him from the Houston Texans, and that was before signing him to a fully guaranteed contract extension.

Watson hadn’t played a single snap for them and was likely to be suspended, yet he still got a fully guaranteed $230 million dollar contract, and he has yet to pay back that investment.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton claimed that there was no more room for excuses for Watson, and he has to deliver.

“This has to be the year, because there’s no more excuses.”

He pointed out the fact that the team was able to make the playoffs last season despite having four different starting quarterbacks.

Also, the fact that Joe Flacco led them to the playoffs speaks volumes about the kind of team they have, which is why there’s simply no excuse for Watson not to get the job done.

Watson is reportedly back to full strength and has no physical limitations ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The Browns have one of the best defenses in the game, a solid offensive line, and an improved receiving corps, not to mention the reigning Coach of the Year.

It’s now or never, and anything short of a deep postseason run should be considered a big failure in Cleveland.
