LeSean McCoy Says 1 QB Should Reset The Market

Friday saw two young star NFL quarterbacks in Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins and the Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love land huge contract extensions.

That leaves one big-time QB who is due for an extension this year — Dak Prescott.

The Dallas Cowboys’ signal-caller could receive an extension that will exceed all the ones given out lately, and LeSean Mccoy said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak” that he’s the one who should reset the QB market.

An argument could be made that Prescott deserves more money than Tagovailoa and Love, as well as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence, who recently landed a five-year, $275 million extension.

Prescott became an MVP candidate late last season, and he ended the campaign with 4,516 passing yards and a league-high 36 touchdowns while completing 69.5 percent of his pass attempts.

That production earned him his third trip to the Pro Bowl, and he’s likely at the peak of his powers right as he’s celebrating his 31st birthday today.

Of course, Prescott has consistently underperformed in the playoffs, and therefore, the Cowboys have exited the playoffs early each season despite possessing one of the league’s best rosters for a while.

Some have wondered if they will ultimately let Prescott play out the final year of his contract and hit free agency next spring, and if that happens, there is a very real chance he will leave Dallas.

Therefore, this could be Dallas’ last chance to win their first Super Bowl championship since the 1995 season with their current group of stars.
