Steelers Release Defensive Back

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the most consistent teams in the NFL over the past two decades.

Sure, the Steelers haven’t made a Super Bowl run in years, but, as many fans are aware, Mike Tomlin has never coached this team to a record under .500.

No matter how a Steelers team has looked on paper, or the field, for that matter, they continue to find ways to change their roster, hoping to switch it up before the next season.

This philosophy was made evident in a recent report from Jeremy Fowler, who indicated that Josiah Scott has been released.

As Fowler pointed out, Scott spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles last year, as well as some time with the Steelers.

He must not have fit the team’s mold, and as a result, is no longer a part of the organization.

Scott is now looking for a new job, and the Steelers might now be on the hunt for a new defensive player to fill his shoes.

Scott wasn’t a household name by any means, but he was a player who could suit up in the secondary when needed.

With any luck, the Steelers will find a more than adequate replacement for Scott, and their defense will be back and running in no time.

The Steelers are known for a staunch defense, and if the combination of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields doesn’t work, at least they can count on their defensive studs to make it count.
