The NFL is the most-watched professional sports league in the United States, and it isn’t particularly close.

For the amount of problems that the NFL has had to work through in its history, it is clear that fans can’t wait to tune in every week.

Not only does on-field play give fans something to cheer about, but the off-field drama and excitement add another level.

The offseason, trade deadlines, free-agent signings, the NFL Draft, all of these events help add to the league’s allure.

Because the NFL is so big, many analysts and experts try and make their claims heard, which was Chris Broussard’s case in a recent segment of ‘First Things First’ on FS1.

Broussard was talking about the Dallas Cowboys, particularly in regards to Jerry Jones’ recent comments about the team being better than ever, and that 2024 is their year.

“Folks, this is the problem with the Dallas Cowboys… They are fake and fraudulent contenders,” Broussard said.

Broussard believes that Jones can say whatever he wants, but it doesn’t help the Cowboys win any more football games.

In fact, he thinks that these comments hinder the team’s success and that Jones might have a false sense of reality.

It remains to be seen how the Cowboys will fare in the upcoming season, but if past years are any indication, the Cowboys could be on the road to an early playoff exit, if they don’t miss the playoffs entirely.

People continue to question how this team will perform in the long-term, and without any major roster changes, they might have some merit.
