Jazz Chisholm Jr. loves the big stage.
He is an athletic and energetic young player who has been given the chance of his life: to be an everyday player for the New York Yankees.
He was, for a couple of years, the face of the Miami Marlins and even helped them reach the postseason twice, in 2020 as a complementary player and last year as one of their stars.
He has swag, he is popular, he is outgoing and he is talented. As former Yankees great CC Sabathia recently said, he was born to play in New York.
To give his new uniform a personal touch, Chisholm had a phrase added to his belt.

Chisholm is right: There is no one like him in MLB.
That’s why he was the cover athlete of last year’s MLB The Show videogame. People love him, as he brings an element of excitement to baseball that few players can provide.
On the field, Chisholm might not be an elite player, but there is no denying he does several things right.
He is an above-average hitter with defensive versatility and the ability to impact a game on the basepaths.
Between the Marlins and the Yankees, Chisholm was sporting a .254/.327/.436 line with 17 home runs and 23 stolen bases. He had a .764 OPS, slightly better than his career mark of .758.
All he needs to do is perform at an above-average level offensively, be aggressive on the basepaths and defend third base adequately and he will enter the hearts of Yankees fans.
