With so much talent dispersed throughout the NFL and so many teams equipped to make a big run this season, it’s tough to label any division as the best in the league at the moment.
Yet former quarterback and current ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky recently proclaimed which division he thinks is the best in the NFL, and it’s not one most would think.
In a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Orlovsky said, “I think the NFC North could be the best division in football this year,” and added, “Minnesota is super interesting to me and I think it’s the perfect place for J.J. McCarthy.”

With the Minnesota Vikings having an unclear QB situation and the Chicago Bears having a rookie under center, it’s a tough argument to make, even though the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers look to be set up for big years.
Vibes are high in Chicago with Caleb Williams and the new offense in place around him, but a lot of the division’s depth hinges on both him and likely Vikings starter Sam Darnold, who will be hoping to have a resurgence now with his fourth team.
The AFC North could be the toughest division in the league this year with all four teams preparing to make a Super Bowl run.
Three of the four teams in that division made the playoffs last season, including the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, who both did so while cycling through a combined eight starting quarterbacks, a problem both hope will be resolved this season with Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson returning to form, respectively.
