Chris Broussard has been known to have some outlandish takes over the years, but his most recent take is much better, as he called one current NBA superstar the best player in the world.
In a clip from “The Odd Couple with Shaun King,” King asked Broussard, “When you watch Nikola Jokic, do you ever think you’re watching the best basketball player in the world? I don’t get that feeling when I watch him.”
Broussard emphatically replied, “That might be something you ate for dinner that night. I do believe he’s the best player in the world … you could argue he’s the best passer in the game … he is a walking triple-double threat, not for a game, for a season … he’s won three of the last four MVPs … he did not have anything close to a superteam when they won that championship.”

Broussard spit nothing but facts with this take, as there’s not much of an argument at all for anybody else being the best player in the world at the moment.
It’s a knock on King for even asking the question, but Jokic might not appear to be the best player in the world when watching him if you are focused on the wrong things.
The Denver Nuggets superstar is not very athletic and he doesn’t dominate the ball, as Broussard noted, but after winning three MVPs and a championship over the past four years, there’s no strong case to be made for someone else.
King lost this argument immediately when he consistently mispronounced Jokic’s name.
Instead, Broussard cooked here.
