The 2023 season was something of a roller coaster for the Philadelphia Eagles.

After starting strong, things fell apart in the second half of the season, and the Eagles limped into the playoffs as a result.

It wasn’t a major surprise that they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round, and the Eagles’ season ended sooner than they expected heading into the year.

Seeing the team’s struggles, the front office responded by getting rid of offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and replacing him with Kellen Moore.

Moore is expected to help turn the offense around, which starts with Jalen Hurts.

Hurts was recently asked about the Eagles’ new-look offense, and he provided what some are considering a stock, canned answer.

As Hurts said in a video shared by ‘The Swoop Scoops’ on Twitter, “We’re taking it day by day. I don’t focus on anything else, other than trying to get better that day, and I think that the group has that mentality.”

This response could be said in any situation, as Hurts focused on personal and team growth rather than providing specifics about training camp, or what fans might see from the team moving forward.

The Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFC since Hurts took over, but it remains to be seen how the team will react to their latest personnel changes.

After their early playoff exit last season, they’ll certainly have to make changes quickly if they want to compete with teams like the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
