Team Canada just pulled off an impressive but close win over Spain at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Canadians are now 3-0 in group play and will be heading on to the next round.
This victory over Spain was possible because of several stars, including three of the most promising young players in the NBA.
According to the NBA on Twitter, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 20 points, shooting 5-of-11 from the field, while Andrew Nembhard put up 18 points, and RJ Barrett earned 16 points.

These three led the way and helped Canada secure a three-point win over Spain.
Spain kept close to Canada throughout the game but wasn’t able to pull ahead, even though the margin was very close at the end.
Canada is better than they have been in years and there is a good chance they could walk away with a gold medal.
They have cleaned up during group play but now things will get much more difficult for them.
Moving forward, their margin for error will be even smaller and the competition tougher.
The good news is that these three players will continue to thrive, and there are others, such as Dwight Powell, Dillon Brooks, Jamal Murray, Lu Dort and more who can produce big numbers.
There is every reason to believe that Canada can keep this streak of wins going.
With this victory, Canada moves on to the next round and Spain is eliminated from the tournament.
Team Canada’s perfect record in group play gives fans hope and will also give the squad motivation as they push forward into the competition ahead.
