The New York Jets quietly put together a solid offseason and look poised to make a big run with Aaron Rodgers back under center this season as they try to make the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
After a strong summer that saw the team beef up several positional units throughout the roster, the Jets are continuing to look for reinforcements and had one former Pro Bowl wide receiver in for a workout.
Analyst Ari Meirov shared that New York brought in veteran Jarvis Landry as it explores an upgrade at the slot receiver position.

If there’s one spot on offense that could use an upgrade, it’s wide receiver, as the unit is still relatively thin outside of Garrett Wilson and newcomer Mike Williams, who is coming back from a torn ACL suffered last season with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The depth chart after those two is Xavier Gipson, Allen Lazard and rookie Malachi Corley, which isn’t comforting.
Corley, a third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has shown flashes in camp and is getting fans excited after putting up 180 catches over his last two seasons at Western Kentucky for well over 2,000 yards with 22 touchdowns.
Landry last played with the New Orleans Saints in 2022 and is just 31 years old, so he should be fresh after not appearing in an NFL game in more than a year.
He was one of the game’s most reliable slot receivers for nearly a decade with the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns, and if he still has the juice, he’d be a welcome addition to the Jets roster.
