Expectations are high for the New York Jets heading into the 2024 NFL season as they’ve got a revamped roster and a healthy Aaron Rodgers to lead them.

Rodgers spent almost the entirety of the 2023 NFL season on the sidelines after he suffered a torn Achilles in Week 1, though he reported to this year’s training camp fully healthy and ready to go.

His health is the biggest question mark for a Jets team hoping to make it back to the postseason for the first time in more than a decade and hopefully compete for a Super Bowl.

To help Rodgers stay upright, New York invested in its offensive line to ensure that he doesn’t face as much pressure in the pocket.

However, the team also gave him help in the backfield, drafting running back Braelon Allen to ensure the ground game doesn’t experience any lulls.

Coming out of Wisconsin, Allen was one of the more talented backs in this draft class, and the current youngest player in the NFL joked that Rodgers called him out for being so young compared to him.

“He was like, ‘the first guy I’ve ever played with that could literally be my kid’,” Allen said, via Jets Videos.

Rodgers will be turning 41 years old later this year, while Allen won’t turn 21 until 2025.

It’s jarring to see such an age gap on an NFL roster, though it goes to show just how productive Rodgers has been throughout the years.

Breece Hall profiles to be the workhorse back for the Jets, though Allen should see his fair share of snaps to spell him.

With a tandem like Hall and Allen behind him, Rodgers is set up for success and hopefully a healthier season.
