We’ve seen a very intense NBA offseason thus far, with some old names in new places and big moves taking place.

The Boston Celtics are stacked with talent and depth at all positions, and with the Western Conference also looking like a war zone, it only made sense that teams on the verge of championship contention went all-in this time around.

With that in mind, Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem asked NBA insider Shams Charania to share his thoughts on the winners of the offseason thus far, and he had three teams (via The OGs Show).

First, he talked about the Philadelphia 76ers, which wasn’t much of a surprise.

He argued that the Sixers simply couldn’t afford to strike out in this free agency with all the cap space and assets they had, and they swung for the fences and hit a home run by landing a two-way star like Paul George.

Then, he talked about the Dallas Mavericks, who are fresh off a trip to the NBA Finals.

He still has faith in Klay Thompson and believes he’s going to play a huge part on that team, essentially replacing a struggling Tim Hardaway Jr. and bringing some championship pedigree to the table as well.

Last, but not least, he talked about a non-contending team like the San Antonio Spurs.

While the Spurs are clearly not going to be a championship contender, he believes that the additions of two veterans like Chris Paul and Harrison Barnes could make a huge impact on that team.
