Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green will be needed to carry even more of the load during the 2024-25 NBA season after the team let Klay Thompson go this offseason.
Stephen Curry, Thompson and Green were the core of the Warriors’ dynasty, but now the organization must try to compete in a loaded Western Conference.
Green’s availability has been a hot topic of discussion for the past couple of seasons because he always seems to find a way to cause drama and either get ejected from games or receive suspensions from the league.
Known for his fiery attitude and competitive nature, Green often times gets himself into trouble with referees which leads to things like technical fouls.
Recently, Green worked with high school players and sounded off on them complaining about calls and what it could mean for their careers down the line via Swish Cultures.
“And then y’all cried about every call that was called,” Green said. “I get a lot of techs, but I’m actually f***** up on that part, but it’s also cost me $2.5 million. It’s probably 50 times the amount of money my mom made in her life.”

In the video, Green goes on to call out the players for crying to the officials instead of focusing on the game at hand.
It might sound hypocritical for someone like Green to point this out, but he knows better than anyone what complaining can do for a team’s morale and success.
